A Little About Me
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a special interest in working with girls and women (ages 12-75). My focus is on helping women and girls find their voice and learn how to express, assert, and stand up for themselves. Developing a positive self-concept (your perception of self) is vital for emotional well-being.

Another area of focus is the parent-child relationship dynamic, specifically mother-daughter and father-daughter relationships. I help navigate the intricate and sometimes toxic patterns that interfere with healthy communication and lead to conflict.
My approach to therapy is to focus first on developing a therapeutic relationship based on trust and mutual respect: without this there is no growth. I am direct, empathetic, and non-judgmental. I do not take things personally and I am not easily shocked or offended. I also believe in humor. Psychotherapy can be hard but ultimately rewarding if you give it a chance and are willing to make changes.
