Where is your office?
My office is on the East Side of Providence, RI at 1 Richmond Square, Suite 103k. The entrance to the suite is on the side parking lot between Pitman and Waterman Streets and directly opposite the park.
How much do you charge?
Private Pay:
Initial Intake session of one-hour is $150.00
45-minute individual session is $75.00
Do you have a sliding scale?
Usually, no; however, if after the intake you decide that you want to begin therapy with me, and can commit to at least four sessions, we can discuss options to make treatment affordable.
Do you take insurance?
Yes! Blue Cross and Blue Shield, United Health, & Tufts.
Client is responsible for all co-pays, deductible and/or claims denials as indicated by their policy.
How do I pay for my sessions?
Payment is expected at the time of service and I accept all major credit cards including HSA cards, cash and personal checks.
Do you keep what we discuss in therapy confidential?
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I am bound by a Code of Ethics and HIPAA to maintain a client's confidentiality. That means that anything we discuss in person or in any communication can not be discussed or disclosed with anyone else without your written consent.

There are 4 instances when I may have to break confidentiality as required by law:

You tell me about any child or elder currently being abused.

You tell me you are going to hurt someone else.

You indicate that you are seriously considering suicide.

I am ordered by a court of law to turn over my clinical notes.
If you choose to use insurance, however, please understand that they too will have access to my clinical notes about our conversations.
What is your cancellation policy?
I appreciate at least 24 hours for cancellations and rescheduling but I understand that emergencies happen and 24 hours notice is not always possible. However, non-emergency last-minute cancellations and No Shows carry a $50 fee.
